Advanced Microturbines Srl is dedicated to the commercialisation of the microturbine technology, the result of a 2-year research programme at the Italian Institute of Technology on high-speed micro-turbomachinery, and turning it into a market-ready product as a power supply solution for off-grid applications, based on the microturbine as the enabling technology.
AMT’s gas-driven microturbine has reached TRL9, being fully tested, CE marked, certified for operation in hazardous environments (ATEX) and installed in a number of sites, with sales made at gas utilities in Italy,and with strong commercial interest received from utility companies, and IoT and hydraulic hardware suppliers in several EU countries.
The company was also awarded a Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 and Phase 2 Grant.
